Strapping forward, originally from Werris Creek in the Northern Division of country NSW, came to St George from Newcastle Wests in 1979. Wynn was named 'Rookie of the Year' in 1979 and played a major role in the club's grand final win over C'bury with his great attacking game. An outstanding game in the first interstate match at Lang Park in 1980 saw him tour NZ with the Australian side but he did not play in a Test.
