Arncliffe junior played with four clubs during a long career, including St George's grand final loss to Canterbury in 1985. A NSW rep in 8 matches during 1984 87, he made one Test appearance for Australia in 1983 in NZ but declined another tour due to work commitments. Jarvis played for St Helens in 1986 87 and brought all his experience to the fore with Norths during the club's great year in 1991.
